LEICESTER have completed their National League team with the signing of James Chattin.
The 21-year-old will take an official NL berth for the first time, although he was a regular guest for Cradley in the closing weeks of the 2019 campaign.
Chattin has been a familiar face around the Midlands tracks in recent years, competing in the Development League and also picking up bookings in the third tier of the sport.
Now he starts the season in the Roger Webster Lion Cubs’ reserve berths, alongside fellow newcomer Danny Woodward.
And he admits he’s excited to get the chance to join the Cubs, who will be defending both their league and KO Cup titles in 2020.
Chattin said: “I’m really excited to be joining Leicester as it’s a very well run club, and the few times I was there last year I got on very well with the track.
“Hopefully this year with more time on the track I can develop more and find a good set-up for home meetings.
“My ambitions for the season are to add a few points onto my average and help the club back to the success they had last year.
“I would like to try to get into the main body of the team, but of course all the lads are good riders and it will be difficult to break into the main body - but it’s something that I want to try to do so that I can show people what I can do.”
